- The race starts on 5th Avenue at 80th Street and finishes at 60th Street. It is a straight, net-downhill point-to-point course.
- How do I know what time my heat starts?
- The 5th Avenue Mile is run in age-group waves. Heats typically start with older age groups in the morning (around 07:30) and culminate with the Pro races in the early afternoon.
- Where is the packet pickup located?
- Bibs are usually picked up at the NYRR RUNCENTER at 320 West 57th Street. There is typically no race-day registration or bib pickup.
- Is there a bag drop available?
- Yes, NYRR provides a bag check service. You drop your bag near the start area (80th St) and it is transported to the finish area (60th St) for you.
- What is the course profile like?
- The first quarter-mile is slightly uphill, followed by a long, gentle downhill through the middle half, and a flat finishing sprint.
- Can I bring my own hydration station?
- No need. Water stations are provided at the start and finish. Since it's only a mile, most athletes do not carry fluids during the run.
