Mineurs Trail

FAQ

Where exactly does the race start and where is the bib collection?
The race village, bib pickup, and start line are located at Stade Salle Bigotte in Grenay. Registration typically opens two hours before the first race start.
What is the typical terrain for the Mineurs Trail?
Expect a mix of technical forest paths and climbs over 'terrils' (mining slag heaps). It can be very muddy in March, so shoes with aggressive lugs are highly recommended.
Is there a mandatory gear list for the longer distances?
Yes, for the trail distances, you are usually required to carry a reusable cup (no cups at aid stations), a whistle, a space blanket, and a mobile phone.
Is there parking available at the venue?
Limited parking is available at Stade Salle Bigotte. It is advised to arrive at least 60 minutes before your start time or park in the designated overflow streets in Grenay.
Are there showers available after the race?
Yes, changing rooms and showers are generally available for athletes at the Bigotte sports complex following the finish.
Can I reach Grenay by public transport on race morning?
Public transport is limited on Sunday mornings. It is best to take a train to Lens or Bethune and then use a taxi or pre-arranged shuttle, though a rental car is the most reliable option.
