FAQ

Where and when is the packet pickup?
Packet pickup typically takes place at the Pavilion Carlos Lopes in Parque Eduardo VII, usually on Friday and Saturday from 10:00 to 19:00. Bring your ID and registration QR code.
Is the course entirely on road?
No, the 'Eco' marathon name reflects the route which covers park trails, gravel paths, and paved roads through Monsanto Forest Park and Parque Eduardo VII. Trail shoes are not mandatory but road shoes with good grip are recommended.
What is the total elevation gain?
The course is quite challenging for a city marathon, featuring roughly 600-800 metres of elevation gain as you traverse the Monsanto hills.
Are there bag drop facilities?
Yes, a secure bag drop is located near the start/finish area in Alameda Cardeal Cerejeira. Ensure you use the clear bag provided at packet pickup.
How do I get to the start line using public transport?
Take the Blue (Linha Azul) or Yellow (Linha Amarela) Metro line to the 'Marquês de Pombal' or 'Parque' stations. Both are within walking distance of the start.
Is the course closed to traffic?
Yes, the main roads are closed, but since much of the route is in Monsanto Forest Park, you will be running through natural green corridors away from cars.
What nutrition is provided at aid stations?
Water, electrolyte drinks, and fruit (oranges/bananas) are provided every 5km. It is highly recommended to carry your own gels if you have a specific preference.
