- While parts of the promenade are flat, the route is undulating with some challenging inclines as it traverses the coastline towards the historic capital, Valletta. Be prepared for some elevation gain.

- The start and finish are both located on the Sliema Front. If you are staying in Sliema, walking is your best option. From Valletta, use the Sliema ferry which operates frequently across the harbour.

- Water and electrolyte stations are located roughly every 5km. Fresh fruit and energy gels are typically provided from the 15km mark onwards.
