- The expo is usually held at Laugardalshöll Sport Hall. You must pick up your packet on Thursday or Friday; there is no bib pickup on race day (Saturday).

- The course is mostly flat and paved, offering scenic views of the ocean and mountains. There are minor undulations, particularly around the 30km mark, but it is considered a fast course.

- The start is at Lækjargata in the city centre. Most downtown hotels are within walking distance. For those further out, public buses (Strætó) run, though some streets are closed.
