FAQ

How do I collect my race packet?
Packet pickup typically occurs at the Hokkaido Marathon EXPO at Odori Park (Nishi 7-chome and 8-chome) on the Friday and Saturday before the race. No race-day pickup is available.
What is the time limit for the marathon?
The race has a strict 6-hour time limit. There are several intermediate checkpoints with cut-off times; if you don't reach them, you will be asked to board the 'bus of shame'.
How is the weather during the race?
Expect heat and high humidity. While it is Hokkaido, late August temperatures often reach 28-32°C. Hydration and salt management are critical.
Are there luggage storage facilities on race day?
Yes, there is a dedicated bag drop area in Odori Park near the start. Use the official bag provided in your race kit.
Is public transport efficient for getting to the start?
Extremely. The Sapporo Subway (Tozai, Nanboku, and Toho lines) all converge at Odori Station, which is directly beneath the start area.
