FAQ

Where is the race packet pickup?
Packet pickup typically takes place at PAO Park (Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organization) 2-3 days before the race start. Ensure you bring your mandatory gear for inspection.
How do I get to the start line?
PAO Park is accessible via 'Rod Daeng' (Red Trucks) or Grab apps. Many athletes prefer Grab for its fixed pricing and reliability in the early hours.
Is the mandatory gear strictly checked?
Yes, UTMB events in Thailand are rigorous. You will need a waterproof jacket with taped seams, an emergency blanket, a whistle, and at least 1 litre of water capacity.
What is the terrain like for the summit laps?
Expect steep, technical jungle climbs with high humidity. The 'Doi Inthanon' area features both root-heavy single tracks and some fire road sections.
Is there a bag drop service?
Yes, bag drops for finish line items are provided at PAO Park. For longer distances like the summit race, drop bags for mid-race aid stations are also available.
Are poles recommended?
Highly recommended. The elevation gain in Chiang Mai is significant and often involves steep, slick clay sections where poles provide necessary stability.
