- Where and when is packet pickup?
- Bib collection usually takes place on Saturday at The Rex (Barossa Aquatic Centre) between 12:00 and 16:00, and early Sunday morning before the race starts.
- Is the course closed to traffic?
- The course uses a combination of closed roads and shared paths. While major sections are closed, athletes must stay within the marked cones and obey course marshal instructions.
- What is the terrain of the marathon?
- The course is exceptionally flat for a regional race, following the Barossa Trail and local roads. It is a multi-loop course designed for fast times and PB attempts.
- Are there bag drop facilities at the start?
- Yes, a supervised bag drop is available inside The Rex. Ensure your bag is clearly marked with your race number using the tag provided in your kit.
- How cold is it at the start line?
- August is winter in South Australia. Expect temperatures near 4-6°C at the 7:30am start. Most runners wear 'throw-away' layers for the first few kilometers.
- Is there parking near the venue?
- Ample parking is available at The Rex and surrounding side streets, but it fills up by 6:45am. Arrive early to avoid a long walk to the start.
- What nutrition is provided on course?
- Aid stations are located approximately every 2.5km to 3km, providing water and electrolyte drinks. Some stations in the latter half also provide fruit or gels.
