FAQ

Where is the main race village and start located?
The main activities and the start/finish for most distances are located near the Velòdrom d'Horta or the Tibidabo area, depending on the specific distance route. Always check your specific wave assignment.
Is the course technically difficult?
While the elevation is manageable, the terrain is classic Mediterranean trail: rocky, dusty, and with short, steep 'punchey' climbs. Good grip on your shoes is essential.
When and where is packet pickup?
Bib collection usually takes place on the Friday before the race at the host sports complex or a designated partner store in central Barcelona. No bibs are typically issued on race morning.
What is the mandatory gear for the Marathon distance?
You must carry a mobile phone, a minimum of 1L water capacity, an emergency whistle, and a thermal blanket. A jacket is recommended as ridges can be windy in November.
How do I get to the start line using public transport?
Use the FGC (Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat) or the Metro (L3 to Mundet for Horta area). Barcelona's public transport is excellent, but check weekend schedules for very early starts.
Are trekking poles allowed?
Yes, poles are allowed but must be used safely. Most runners find them helpful for the latter stages of the race through Collserola.
