The race starts at Gwanghwamun Plaza. Use the Seoul Subway (Line 5 to Gwanghwamun or Line 1/2 to City Hall). It is highly recommended to arrive by subway early as roads close 2 hours before the 08:00 start.

The race finishes at the Jamsil Olympic Stadium. To return to the city centre, take Subway Line 2 (Green Line) from Sports Complex Station which is right next to the stadium.

Is there a bag drop service?

Yes, bag drop trucks are located at the start in Gwanghwamun. They will transport your gear to the finish line at Jamsil. Ensure you use the official transparent bag provided in your race kit.

The course is exceptionally flat and fast, known as a PB course. It follows a point-to-point route through the heart of the city and along the Han River with very minimal elevation changes.

March in Seoul is crisp. Expect temperatures between 2°C and 10°C. It is often dry but can be windy near the river sections, so bring throw-away layers for the start.

Yes, the Seoul Marathon has a strict 5-hour time limit. Road closures are lifted progressively, and runners falling behind the pace will be asked to board a sweep bus.
