Most athletes drive (25-30 mins). There are shuttle buses provided by the organisers from the Roth train station and designated parking areas near Hilpoltstein (Swim Start). Arrive by 05:00 to avoid traffic.

Where is bike check-in?

Bike check-in occurs on Saturday at Transition 1 (T1) at the Main-Donau-Canal near Hilpoltstein. You must check your bike and your bike gear bag (blue bag) at this time.

Is the swim in a wetsuit?

Usually, yes. The Canal is typically around 20-22°C in July. Wetsuits are permitted up to 24.5°C for age groupers.

How do I manage the split transitions?

Roth uses two transitions. T1 is at the Canal (Swim-to-Bike), and T2 is in Roth (Bike-to-Run). You drop your run bag (red bag) at T2 on Saturday or Sunday morning, and the organisers transport your T1 bag to the finish for you.
