El XTERRA TransTahitienne es un desafío épico de resistencia que cruza la isla de Tahiti desde Teva I Uta hasta Papenoo. Los participantes atraviesan impresionantes paisajes tropicales y valles profundos, ya sea en un maratón de trail de 40 km individual o en un formato de 40 km Run & Bike en pareja. Where is the packet pickup located?
Packet pickup traditionally takes place at the race headquarters in Teva I Uta or a designated sports shop in Papeete on Friday; check your athlete guide 48 hours before.
Do I need a specific mountain bike?
Yes, the Run & Bike format requires a mountain bike (VTT) capable of handling muddy trails and technical descents.
How does the Run & Bike format work?
Teams of two share one bike, alternating between running and cycling as they choose, but they must cross the finish line together.
Is there a mandatory gear list?
Yes, both athletes must wear helmets while on the bike, and carrying at least 1 litre of water and a basic repair kit is recommended.
How do I get to Teva I Uta?
The best way is by rental car from Faa'a Airport; it is roughly a 45-60 minute drive along the west coast road.
What is the terrain like?
Expect technical single-track, river crossings, and potentially slippery jungle paths depending on recent rainfall.
