- The swim takes place in Stony Lake within Stokes State Forest. It is a freshwater, spring-fed lake.
- What is the bike course terrain like?
- Expect technical, rocky, and root-heavy East Coast singletrack. A mountain bike with front suspension is required, and full suspension is highly recommended.
- Are wetsuits allowed?
- In April, water temperatures in New Jersey typically range from 12°C to 16°C, making wetsuits mandatory for safety.
- Where is packet pickup?
- Packet pickup usually occurs on-site at the Stony Lake Area the afternoon before the race and very early on race morning.
- Is there parking at the start?
- Yes, there is designated parking at the Stony Lake Day Use Area, but it can fill up quickly. Arrive at least 90 minutes before the gun.
- Can I use a gravel bike?
- No, the XTERRA New Jersey course is a true mountain bike course. Gravel bikes are not suitable for the technical rock gardens of Stokes State Forest.

- Cell service is extremely spotty within the forest. Download your maps and registration QR codes for offline use before arriving.
