FAQ

Where is the swim located?
The swim takes place in Kristanovicky Pond (Křišťanovický rybník), roughly 10km outside of Prachatice. Athletes typically ride or take a shuttle to the start.
Is the bike course technical?
Yes, it is a classic XTERRA course with steep climbs, rooty descents, and narrow singletrack through the Sumava forest.
How do I get my bike to the swim start?
There is a mandatory bike check-in at Transition 1 (Swim Start) the day before or early race morning via a provided shuttle or self-drive.
Where is the best place for spectator viewing?
The Great Square (Velké náměstí) features the famous 'staircase descent' and the finish line, providing the loudest atmosphere.

A versatile cross-country tire with good lateral grip for forest mud or loose dirt over roots, such as a Schwalbe Racing Ray/Ralph combo.
