FAQ

Where is the main hub for bib collection?
Bib collection (packet pickup) is typically located at the Ycoor Centre in Crans-Montana. Ensure you have your ID and mandatory gear ready for inspection.
How do I get to the start lines for the point-to-point races?
For races like the Wild 110 (Kandersteg) or Wild 50 (Adelboden), the organization provides shuttle buses from Crans-Montana. You must book these in advance via your runner dashboard.
Is mandatory gear strictly checked?
Yes, UTMB World Series events have strict gear requirements. Expect a full check of items like waterproof jackets, survival blankets, and whistles at bib collection and random checks on course.
What is the best way to get to Crans-Montana from the airport?
Take a train from Geneva (GVA) or Zurich (ZRH) to Sierre, then use the funicular or the bus to reach Crans-Montana. The funicular is the fastest way up the mountain from the valley floor.
Are trekking poles allowed?
Yes, poles are allowed and highly recommended due to the steep technical climbs. Note that if you start with them, you must carry them to the finish.
Can spectators follow me on the course?
Spectators can use the mountain lifts (Cry d'Er) and event shuttles to reach key support points. A 'live' tracking app is also available for real-time updates.
