FAQ

Where is the bib collection (packet pickup)?
Packet pickup takes place at the Médiathèque de Saint-Étienne-les-Orgues on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning before the race.
What is the mandatory gear for THP Winter?
Due to the November date and 1,800m+ altitude of Montagne de Lure, you must carry a survival blanket, whistle, waterproof jacket, and at least 1L of water.
Is there a time limit for the marathon distance?
Yes, usually there is a cut-off at the Pas de la Graille aid station to ensure all runners are off the mountain before dark.
Are trail shoes necessary?
Absolutely. The course features rocky terrain and potentially mud, ice, or snow on the upper slopes of the Lure mountain.
Can I park near the start line?
Limited parking is available in the village of Saint-Étienne-les-Orgues. Follow local signage to designated athlete parking lots on race morning.
Will there be snow on the course?
In late November, the summit of Montagne de Lure often has a dusting of snow or ice. Prepare for freezing temperatures at the higher elevations.
