FAQ

How do I get to the different start lines?
The race is a point-to-point event with multiple distances. The organization provides shuttle buses from Puerto de la Cruz to the various starts (e.g., Vilaflor for the 47k, or sea level for the 110k). You must book your bus ticket during registration.
Where is the finish line located?
All race distances finish at the Lago Martiánez area in Puerto de la Cruz. This makes Puerto de la Cruz the most convenient place to book your accommodation.
What is the mandatory gear requirement?
Given the altitude (reaching 3,555m near Teide), you must carry a thermal blanket, waterproof jacket, whistle, mobile phone, and at least 1 litre of water. Check the final race briefing for cold-weather kit mandates.
How do I collect my race bib?
Bib collection usually takes place at the Lago Martiánez complex two days before the event. You will need a valid ID and your signed medical certificate if required for your distance.
Is there a drop-bag service?
Yes, for the 110km and 73km races, there is a life bag service available at the halfway points. All distances can drop a finish-line bag at the start to be transported to Puerto de la Cruz.
What is the weather like at the summit of Teide?
While the coast may be 20°C, temperatures at 3,000m+ can drop to 0°C or below, even in April. Wind chill is a significant factor. Dress in layers.
