- The expo is typically held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC). You must collect your race number and timing chip here in the three days preceding the race; there is no race-day pickup.
- What is the best way to get to the start line?
- E-hailing services like Uber are very reliable in Cape Town, but road closures start early. The MyCiTi bus service also runs special routes for athletes. If staying in Sea Point or Green Point, walking is best.
- Are there hills on the course?
- The course is relatively flat and fast, designed for PB attempts. There are a few short undulations in the first half near District Six and Woodstock, but nothing significant.
- What gear should I wear?
- May is late autumn in Cape Town. It can be chilly (10-12°C) and windy at the start, so bring a throw-away top. It usually warms up to a comfortable 18-20°C by mid-morning.
- Is there a bag drop?
- Yes, there is a secure to-gs bag drop at the Green Point Athletics Stadium. Use the clear plastic bag provided in your race pack.
- Is the water safe to drink from the aid stations?
- Yes, water at aid stations is typically provided in sachets or cups and is completely safe to drink. Energy drinks are also provided at alternating stations.
