- The marathon starts at the Olympic Legacy Plaza at The Gateway. Runners can use the UTA TRAX light rail for free with their bib on race day; the Blue/Green lines stop directly at Arena Station near the start.
- Is there a time limit for the marathon?
- Yes, the course is open for 6.5 hours. The course closes on a rolling basis, and runners must maintain a minimum pace of roughly 15 minutes per mile.
- Where is the packet pickup?
- Packet pickup and the Quality of Life Expo are held at the Salt Lake Palace Convention Center in downtown SLC on Friday before the race.
- Should I be worried about the altitude?
- Salt Lake City is at 1,300m (4,300ft). If you are coming from sea level, arrive 3-4 days early to acclimatise and ensure you increase hydration significantly.
- Are there hydration stations on the course?
- Yes, water and Gatorade Endurance are provided at roughly 20 aid stations along the course. Energy gels are typically provided at miles 12 and 18.
- Is the course hilly?
- The course features a net downhill but includes some significant elevation changes in the first half through Federal Heights before flattening out downtown.
