SAIL Challenge Québec

Un evento de triatlón de primer nivel con un recorrido histórico a través de la joya de Old Québec, Patrimonio de la Humanidad de la UNESCO. Los atletas nadan en el Bassin Louise rodeado de yates y pedalean por la autopista Dufferin-Montmorency totalmente cerrada junto al río St. Lawrence. La carrera a pie, llana, serpentea a través de 400 años de historia y termina en el icónico Port de Québec.

Where is the race packet pickup located?
Packet pickup is usually located at Espace Dalhousie in the Old Port (Bassin Louise) on Friday and Saturday (no race-day pickup).
Is the swim in salt water or fresh water?
The swim takes place in the Bassin Louise, which is a protected harbor. It is fresh water but can be slightly brackish. Wetsuits are typically permitted and recommended.
What is the bike course like?
The bike course is a multi-lap format on closed highways (Autoroute Dufferin-Montmorency). It is relatively fast but features some undulations and can be windy.
How do I get my bike from the airport to the hotel?
Taxis are available at YQB, but 'Uber XL' or calling a taxi company in advance to request a van (van-taxi) is recommended for bike boxes.
Are there parking options near the start line?
Limited parking is available at the Old Port. It is highly recommended to stay in a hotel within walking distance or use the ‘SPAQ’ parking lots in Old Quebec.
What is the run course surface?
The run is flat and paved, winding through the historic Old Port and along the St. Lawrence River, offering plenty of shade in some sections.
