FAQ

Where exactly is the start line?
The race typically departs from the Cleland Conservation Park main entrance or the adjacent Mt Lofty Summit area. Check your final athlete guide for the specific trailhead.
Is the course technical?
Yes, being part of the Ultra Hard Series, expect steep vertical gains, fire trails, and technical single track through the Adelaide Hills. High-traction trail shoes are mandatory.
How do I get there from Adelaide CBD?
It is a 20-minute drive up the SE Freeway (M1). If using public transport, the 864 or T843 bus runs from the city to Crafers, but a car is recommended for early starts.
What is the gear requirement?
Adelaide Hills weather in September can be volatile. Mandatory gear often includes a thermal top, seam-sealed jacket, whistle, and a minimum of 1.5L water capacity.
Are there aid stations provided?
Yes, but they are spaced for 'Hard Series' standards. Expect approximately 10-15km between stations. It is an endurance event, so self-sufficiency is key.
Is there parking at Cleland?
Parking is available at the Cleland Wildlife Park main lot, but it fills up fast on weekends. Arrive at least 60 minutes before the gun.
