FAQ

How do I get to the start line at Château de Saumane?
The venue is at the top of the village. Parking is limited, so arrive 60-90 minutes before the 08:00 start. Most athletes drive from L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (10 mins).
What is the terrain like for the Monts de Vaucluse Trail?
It is technical trail running. Expect limestone rock paths, steep single tracks through garrigue, and significant elevation gain. Technical trail shoes are mandatory.
Is there mandatory gear for the race?
Yes, typically a survival blanket, whistle, at least 1L of water, and a charged mobile phone are required. Check the final briefing for weather-dependent rain gear mandates.
Where can I pick up my race bib?
Packet pickup is usually held at the Salle des Fêtes or under a marquee at the Château de Saumane on Saturday afternoon and early Sunday morning.
What is the typical weather in early November?
Mornings are crisp (around 6-8°C) but it warms up to 14-16°C. The 'Mistral' wind can make it feel much colder on the ridges.
Are there aid stations on the course?
The race is semi-self-sufficient. There are usually 2 stations for the 25km route and 1 for the 15km, providing water, electrolytes, and local snacks like dried fruit and nuts.
Can spectators follow the runners?
Yes, but mostly at the start/finish. Some points on the plateau are accessible by hiking, but road access to the mid-points is restricted for safety.
