FAQ

Where is the start and finish line located?
The race traditionally starts and finishes near the Pentagonito (Cuartel General del Ejército) in San Borja, though routes occasionally shift slightly between San Isidro and San Borja.
What is the typical race weather like in Lima in May?
Expect overcast skies (the 'Lima Gray') with high humidity (80-90%) but cool temperatures between 14°C and 19°C, which is excellent for PB attempts.
When and where is the Kit Pickup (Expo)?
The Expo is usually held at the Jockey Plaza or the Videna in the 2-3 days before the race. A physical ID and your registration QR code are mandatory.
Is the course flat or hilly?
The course is predominantly flat, making it the fastest marathon in Latin America, though there are mild undulations as you pass through Miraflores and Barranco.
How do I get to the start line on race morning?
The best way is via official taxi apps like Uber or Cabify. Streets around the Pentagonito close as early as 05:00, so aim to arrive at least 60 minutes before your wave starts.
Are there hydration stations along the route?
Yes, water and Gatorade stations are located approximately every 2-3km, with some stations providing fruit and sponges in the latter half of the race.
