- The race village is typically located in a large tent in the Place du 16 Novembre (Gueliz) or Place Jemaa el-Fna. It opens 2-3 days before the race. You must bring your registration confirmation and ID.
- Is the course flat?
- Yes, it is one of the fastest and flattest marathons in the world, featuring a single loop that takes in the olive groves of the Menara and the city walls, making it ideal for a PB.
- What is the typical race day temperature?
- January is the coolest month in Marrakech. It is often very cold at the 8:00 AM start (around 6-8°C) but warms up to a perfect 18°C by midday.
- Is there a bag drop at the start?
- Yes, there is a secure bag drop area near the Koutoubia Mosque. Use the clear bag provided in your race pack and arrive at least 45 minutes early.
- Are there many water stations?
- Water and orange segments are provided every 5km. It is recommended to carry your own electrolytes as the stations primarily provide bottled water and basic fruit.
- Is the course closed to traffic?
- Major roads are closed, but be aware that in Marrakech, some junctions may still have local traffic or motorcycles. Stick to the marked lanes.
