- The half marathon typically flag-off at 04:30 or 05:00 to avoid the extreme Malaysian midday heat.
- How do I get to the start line?
- If staying at The Grand Renai or Perdana, you can walk. If further away, use the 'Grab' app, which is the local equivalent of Uber and very reliable in Kota Bharu.
- Will there be road closures?
- Yes, major roads around the city centre and the riverside will be closed from 04:00. Plan to arrive at least 60 minutes before flag-off.
- Are there hydration stations on the course?
- Yes, hydration stations are placed approximately every 3km, serving water and occasionally isotonic drinks.
- Is the course flat or hilly?
- The Kota Bharu course is predominantly flat, following the city streets and the Kelantan riverbank, making it a good choice for a personal best if you can handle the humidity.
