How do I get to Gozo from Malta International Airport?
Take the X1 bus or a taxi to Cirkewwa Ferry Terminal, then the 25-minute ferry to Mgarr, Gozo. From Mgarr, Xagħra is a 10-minute taxi ride.
Is the course flat?
No, Gozo is notoriously hilly. The Half Marathon features significant elevation changes with a climb back up to Xagħra Square at the finish.
Where is the packet pickup?
Number collection usually takes place in Xagħra Square on the Friday and Saturday afternoon preceding the race.
Are there hydration stations?
Yes, water and electrolyte stations are provided roughly every 5km. It is recommended to carry some personal nutrition due to the intensity of the climbs.
What is the cut-off time?
The Half Marathon generally has a 3-hour cut-off time, which is generous but requires a steady pace given the terrain.
