Un triatlón Xtreme de primer nivel con una natación de 3,8 km en Lake Gallo, un segmento de ciclismo de 195 km con 5000 m de desnivel que incluye el Stelvio Pass, y una carrera de 42,2 km. Is a support car and crew mandatory?
Yes, for various sections of the bike leg and the entire final mountain run, you must have a support crew and a vehicle to provide nutrition, clothing, and safety support.
What is the water temperature like in Lake Gallo?
Expect cold conditions, typically between 12°C and 15°C. A thermal wetsuit, neoprene cap, and booties are highly recommended.
How do I handle the high altitude?
Livigno sits at 1,816m. Try to arrive at least 5-7 days before the race to acclimatise, or arrive just 24 hours before to minimize the impact of altitude sickness.
Where is the finish line located?
The race finishes at the Carosello 3000 mountain station at approximately 3,000m altitude. Your support runner must join you for the final ascent.
Are roads closed to traffic?
The roads are generally open to public traffic. You and your support driver must follow Italian traffic laws, especially on the mountain passes like Stelvio and Foscagno.
What gear is required for the run?
Mandatory gear includes a headlamp, thermal jacket, emergency blanket, and whistle, as the final climb is in alpine terrain and often in the dark.
