FAQ

Where is the start line and how do I get there?
The race typically starts at Huacheng Square (Mall of the World) in Zhujiang New Town. It is easily accessible via Metro Lines 3 and 5 (Zhujiang New Town Station) or APM Line (Huacheng Dadao Station).
When and where is the packet pickup?
The Expo and packet pickup usually take place at the China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) Complex, Area C, 3 days prior to the race. You must bring your passport.
What is the course profile like?
The course is very flat, following the Pearl River. It is a 'Gold Label' fast course, making it ideal for a Personal Best attempt.
Is there a time limit for the marathon?
Yes, it is strictly 6 hours. Expect road closures to be lifted and 'sweeper' buses to move participants forward if they fall behind the cut-off pace.
Will there be English-speaking staff?
The main race information, website, and Expo have English signage and translators available, though using a translation app like WeChat is highly recommended for local interactions.
Are personal drinks allowed on the course?
Only Elite-status athletes can typically have personal bottles at specific stations. Amateur runners should rely on the supplied water and electrolyte stations every 2-5km.
