Where and when is packet pickup?
Packet pickup typically takes place at the Fukuoka City Hall Fureai Hiroba in Tenjin on the Friday and Saturday before the race. There is no race-day pickup.
How do I get back from the finish line?
The race is point-to-point, finishing in Itoshima. There are dedicated shuttle buses for runners from the finish area back to Chikuzen-Maebaru Station or directly to Tenjin/Hakata stations (fee applies).
Is there a bag drop service?
Yes, you can drop one official race bag at the Tenjin start area, which will be transported to the finish line in Itoshima for you.
What is the time limit for the marathon?
The Fukuoka Marathon has a strict 7-hour time limit based on the starting gun, with several intermediate checkpoint cut-off times.
Are there hydration stations on the course?
Yes, water and electrolyte drinks (typically Pocari Sweat) are available approximately every 2-3km, with food stations starting after the 15km mark.
Is the course hilly?
The course is mostly flat, but there is a notable bridge and a few undulating sections along the scenic coastal road near Itoshima.
