FAQ

Where is the exact start/finish line for Freaky Creeky?
The race is held at Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park, specifically starting near the Twin Bays/Jade Bay parking area. Follow event signage once inside the park.
Is there a mandatory gear list?
Yes, especially for the 50km and 100km distances. You must carry a hydration vessel, whistle, and emergency blanket. Bear spray is highly recommended due to the local wildlife.
What is the terrain like for the marathon and ultra distances?
It is technical single-track trail. Expect significant elevation gain, rocky sections, and root-heavy paths. It is not a road-style 'flat' marathon.
How do I get to the venue on race morning?
Public transport to Kalamalka Park is non-existent early in the morning. A rental car is essential. Parking fills up fast, so arrive at least 60 minutes before your wave starts.
When and where is packet pickup?
Typically, packet pickup occurs the day before the race at a local sports shop in Vernon (like Stussi Sport) or at the start line on race morning for a limited time.
Are trekking poles allowed?
Yes, trekking poles are permitted and highly recommended for the steeper climbs in the longer distance events.
