The Marathon Expo (Firenze Marathon Expo) is typically held at the Stazione Leopolda or the Mandela Forum. You must pick it up on Friday or Saturday; no bibs are issued on Sunday morning.
Is there a bag drop at the start?
Yes, bag drop services are available near the start area in Piazza Duomo. Use the official bag provided in your race kit and arrive at least 60 minutes before the 08:30 start.
How do I get to the start line?
If staying in the city centre, the start at Piazza Duomo is walkable. If staying further out, use the Tramvia (Line T1 or T2) to Santa Maria Novella station, which is a 5-10 minute walk from the start.
What is the course profile like?
The course is almost entirely flat and very fast, paved mostly with tarmac and some historical stone 'pietra' sections in the city centre which can be slippery if wet.
Are there pacers available?
Yes, the Firenze Marathon provides pacers for various target times including 3:00, 3:15, 3:30, 3:45, 4:00, 4:15, 4:30, and 5:00 hours.
What happens if it rains?
The race proceeds in all weather. The historic stone streets in Florence can become slick when wet, so ensure your shoes have decent grip.
