Where exactly is the swim start?
The swim takes place in the Marine Lake (Lac Marin) of Vieux Boucau, providing calm, saltwater conditions protected from the Atlantic swells.
Is the bike course flat or hilly?
The bike course is predominantly flat and fast, winding through the iconic Landes pine forests. It is highly suited for TT bikes and setting personal bests.
What is the typical water temperature in July?
Water temperatures in the Marine Lake usually range between 19°C and 22°C. Wetsuits are typically optional or mandatory depending on the final reading on race morning.
Can I reach the start line by public transport?
