Where is the swim located and what is the water temp?
The swim takes place in Lake Burley Griffin. In late November, water temperatures are typically between 18°C and 21°C, making it wetsuit legal for age groupers.
Is the bike course closed to traffic?
Yes, the course features a full road closure including sections of Parkes Way and Commonwealth Avenue, providing a fast and safe environment.
Where and when is packet pickup?
Registration and packet pickup are held at the Race Village on Rond Terrace. This usually opens on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning; check your athlete guide for exact hours.
Is there a bike mechanic on site?
Yes, technical support is available at the Race Village on Friday and Saturday, and limited roaming support is available on course on Sunday.
What is the run course like?
The run is a multi-lap course around the central basin of Lake Burley Griffin. It is very flat and offers plenty of support stations and spectator cheering zones.
Are there shuttle buses from the hotels?
There are no official shuttles as most CBD hotels are within a 5-minute drive or 15-minute walk. Parking is available at CIT Reid, but arrive early.
