FAQ

Where is the packet pickup located?
Bib numbers are usually distributed at the Race Office located in the Civic Centre or at the Walther Square (Piazza Walther) in the days leading up to the race.
What is the course profile like?
The BOclassic follows a 1.25km loop through the historic town centre. It is entirely paved with cobblestones and completely flat, making for a very fast but technical race.
Is there a bag drop available?
Yes, there is typically a storage area for runners near the Piazza Walther start area, but it is advised to arrive early as the space is shared with many holiday tourists.
How cold will it be for a New Year's Eve race?
Expect temperatures around 0°C to 5°C. Since the race is in the afternoon, the sun may help, but technical base layers and gloves are highly recommended.
Can I participate if I am not an elite athlete?
Yes, while the elite races are famous, the 'BOclassic Ladurner' event is open to all amateur runners with a valid medical certificate (FIDAL/Runcard).
How do I get to Bolzano for the race?
Bolzano has a central train station with high-speed connections to Verona and Munich. If flying, Verona (VRN) is the most convenient airport with shuttle connections.
