What time does the Full Marathon start?
The Full Marathon (42k) typically starts at 02:00 AM to avoid the extreme heat and humidity of the Bangkok day. Half Marathon starts shortly after around 03:00 AM.
Where is the start line and how do I get there?
The start is usually at Rajamangala National Stadium. The organisers provide shuttle buses from key points like Victory Monument or the BTS Skytrain stations. Check the final manual for specific shuttle schedules.
Is the course flat?
Generally flat, but it features several significant elevated highway sections and bridges, notably the Rama VIII Bridge, which provide elevation changes and great city views.
Where is the finish line located?
The race typically finishes at Sanam Luang, the historic park in front of the Grand Palace. It is a spectacular finish precinct but can be congested.
What is the cut-off time?
The cut-off for the full marathon is strictly 7 hours from the start of the final wave, due to the necessity of reopening Bangkok's major roads by mid-morning.

Yes, stations are provided every 2km offering water and electrolyte drinks. In the latter half, sponges and ice are often provided to help manage the heat.
Can I pick up my bib on race morning?
