FAQ

Where is the transition area located?
The transition area and race village are typically situated along the beach promenade near the Al Dau Heights area, providing easy access to the Red Sea for the swim.
What is the swim condition in October?
The Red Sea is typically calm and crystal clear with water temperatures around 26°C. Wetsuits are generally not allowed for elite/sprint categories but check final ITU/World Triathlon rulings on race morning.
Are the roads closed for the bike leg?
Yes, for the Pan-Arab Championships, the coastal road is fully closed to traffic. The surface is mostly smooth asphalt, though wind can be a factor on the return legs.
How do I get my bike from the airport?
Hurghada Airport (HRG) is very close (15 mins). Pre-book a large van taxi or hotel shuttle, as standard Egyptian taxis are small sedans that cannot fit bike boxes.
Is there a specific bike rental partner?
While local rentals exist, they are mostly leisure bikes. It is highly recommended that competitive athletes bring their own triathlon or road bikes to this event.
What is the weather like for a morning start?
October is warm. Expect 25°C at 7 AM, rising quickly to 30°C by noon. Humidity is low, but sun protection and aggressive hydration are vital.
